Unfoldo AI: from a drawing to cut-ready flat patterns
Drop a PDF, a DXF, a photo or a few words. Unfoldo AI finds the sheet metal parts, picks the shape of each and fills in the sizes written on the drawing. You check them on the drawing; the engine draws exact patterns. No 3D CAD model needed.
How it works
- Add the drawing: A PDF, a DXF, a photo of a sketch, a screenshot pasted with Ctrl+V, or a few words.
- Unfoldo AI reads it: It finds the sheet metal parts, picks the shape of each from the catalogue and fills in the sizes written on the drawing.
- Check it on the drawing: Each size shows where it sits on the part; a size it could not read is marked. Change any value.
- Download or keep it: The exact flat pattern of each part as DXF, or the parts as a project: every DXF in one zip, or one PDF.

It does not guess
Sizes from what is written
Only written dimensions count; nothing is measured off the lines of a drawing.
Missing is missing
A size that is not given is marked and asked for, never made up; a sensible default is shown as one.
The engine draws the pattern
Unfoldo AI only fills in the form. The flat pattern comes from the same engine as every shape page: true arcs, curves within 0.005 mm.
Your drawings are not kept
A drawing is read and not stored; only the parts you save stay in your account.
Questions
Do I need a 3D model or 3D CAD?
No. Unfoldo AI works from the drawing you already have, and Unfoldo draws the flat patterns in the browser. No 3D model, no CAD program.
What if it picks the wrong shape?
Each part shows the shapes that could fit; pick another and the sizes it read come with it. You can also change any size, or take a part out of the list.
Does Unfoldo AI keep my drawings?
No. The drawing goes to our AI provider to be read and is not kept; only the parts you save, with their sizes, stay in your account.
Which parts can it find?
The shapes in the Unfoldo catalogue: cones and reducers, transitions, elbows, branches, breeches, ducts, hoppers and more. Parts that are not sheet metal patterns (bolts, profiles, frames) are left out and counted.
How many drawings can I read?
A free account reads a few drawings a month; Pro reads drawings every day. The plans page shows the numbers. A reading that fails is not counted.
