Screw conveyor flight flat pattern (auger flight ring)
The classic sectional screw flight: one flat ring per turn, cut, split and pulled out to pitch, so the inside edge stretches as it is formed. Enter the outside diameter, pitch and flight width.
One turn of a screw conveyor flight as a flat ring; the inside edge is stretched as the ring is formed.
Sizes you enter
- Outside diameter (D): Across the flight, outer edge to outer edge (mean surface).
- Pitch (P): Rise in one full turn.
- Flight width (W): From the outer edge in to the shaft, square to the axis.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
