Mitred elbow, cone to pipe, angled: flat patterns
A cone narrows up from its base and turns into a round pipe at whatever angle the run needs. The cone is sized so the two meet at a flat cut; both are developed flat, with the seams together on the inside or on opposite sides.
A cone turned into a pipe at any angle, at one flat joint; the patterns are the cone and the pipe.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): Across the cone's base, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Pipe diameter (d): Across the pipe, smaller than the base.
- Height to the axes (H): From the base up the cone's centre line to where the pipe's centre line meets it.
- Reach of the pipe (L): Along the pipe's centre line, from where it meets the cone's to the open end.
- Angle between cone and pipe (A): Between the cone's and the pipe's centre lines where they meet, more than 0° and less than 180° (90°: square; more: a gentler turn).
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
