Prism flat pattern, top and base cut at angles
A tube of equal flat sides cut by sloping planes at both ends, shortest at the seam corner. Give the number of sides, the size across the corners, the height at the centre and each cut angle.
A straight tube of equal flat sides, cut by planes at angles at the top and at the base.
Sizes you enter
- Sides (n): Number of equal flat sides. At least 3.
- Across the corners (D): The circle round the section, through its corners, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Height at the centre (H): Along the centre line, from where the base cut crosses it to where the top cut does.
- Cut angle (A): The top cut against the base, seen from the front: low at the seam's corner on the left, rising to the right. 0 = square.
- Base cut angle (B): The base cut against a square end: high under the seam's corner, falling to the right. 0 = square.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
