Pyramid flat pattern, top cut at an angle
A pyramid of equal sides whose top is cut by a sloping plane, lowest at the seam corner. Give the number of sides, the base across the corners, the apex height, the cut height at the centre and the angle.
A pyramid of equal sides with its top cut by a plane at an angle.
Sizes you enter
- Sides (n): Number of equal flat sides. At least 3.
- Base across the corners (D): The circle round the base, through its corners, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Apex height (Ha): From the base up to where the corner lines meet.
- Cut height at the centre (H): From the base up to where the cut crosses the centre line.
- Cut angle (A): The cut against the base, seen from the front: low at the seam's corner on the left, rising to the right.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
