Torispherical vessel end cap, segment pattern
A torispherical dished end, a shallow crown turning down through a knuckle to a straight flange, built from equal segments round it. Give the base diameter, the crown and knuckle radii, the flange height, the end hole and the number of segments.
A torispherical dished end to fit over a cylinder, made of equal segments round it on a straight flange. The pattern is one segment.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): Across the cap at its flange, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Crown radius (Rc): The radius of the dish's middle part, on the surface chosen under Sheet. More than half the base diameter.
- Knuckle radius (rk): The radius of the bend between the crown and the flange, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Flange height (F): The straight part at the base. 0 for none.
- End hole diameter (Dh): A hole at the top, across the mean surface. 0 for none.
- Segments (n): Equal segments round the cap, each one pattern. At least 3.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
