Truncated cone flat pattern from the cone angle
A truncated cone given by its two diameters and the whole angle between its sides, as hoppers and reducers are often drawn. The height between the ends follows from these, and the pattern is a sector of a ring, exported as true arcs.
A truncated cone given by its two diameters and the angle between its sides.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): The larger end, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Top diameter (d): The smaller end, on the same surface.
- Cone angle (A): The whole angle between the two sides, seen from the front, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Number of parts (n): Equal parts round the cone, each with its own seams.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
