Offset ellipse to ellipse transition
The top ellipse is shifted along the length or the width of the base ellipse, while both ends stay parallel.
True ellipse base to a true ellipse top, parallel, with the top moved off centre.
Sizes you enter
- Base length (L): Length of the base ellipse (along L).
- Base width (W): Width of the base ellipse.
- Top length (l): Size of the top ellipse along L.
- Top width (w): Size of the top ellipse along W.
- Height (H): From the base to the top.
- Top offset along the length (X): Moves the top centre along L. 0 = centred.
- Top offset along the width (Y): Moves the top centre along W. 0 = centred.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
