Mitred elbow, pipe to cone, 90°: flat patterns
A pipe turns square into a cone that narrows away from it, as on a reducing outlet or a nozzle. The cone is sized so the two meet at a flat cut; the pipe and the cone are developed flat, with the seams together on the outside or on opposite sides.
A pipe turned square into a cone at one flat joint; the patterns are the pipe and the cone.
Sizes you enter
- Pipe diameter (D): Across the pipe, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Cone small end (d): Across the cone's small end, smaller than the pipe.
- Height to the cone (H): From the pipe's open end up to the cone's centre line.
- Reach of the cone (L): From the pipe's centre line out to the cone's small end.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
