Mitred elbow, pipe to cone, angled: flat patterns
A pipe turns into a cone at whatever angle the run needs. The cone is sized so the two meet at a flat cut; the pipe and the cone are developed flat, with the seams together on the outside or on opposite sides.
A pipe turned into a cone at any angle, at one flat joint; the patterns are the pipe and the cone.
Sizes you enter
- Pipe diameter (D): Across the pipe, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Cone small end (d): Across the cone's small end, smaller than the pipe.
- Height to the axes (H): From the pipe's open end up its centre line to where the cone's centre line meets it.
- Reach of the cone (L): Along the cone's centre line, from where it meets the pipe's to the small end.
- Angle between pipe and cone (A): Between the pipe's and the cone's centre lines where they meet, more than 0° and less than 180° (90°: square; more: a gentler turn).
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
