Oval cylinder flat pattern, top cut along the oval
A flat oval tube with its top cut at an angle along the oval's length, low at one end and high at the other, as for an oval duct meeting a sloping surface end on. Give the oval's size, the height at the centre and the angle of the cut.
A straight tube of oval section with its top cut by a plane along the oval, falling from one end to the other.
Sizes you enter
- Length (L): Overall length of the oval, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Width (W): Width of the oval: the diameter of its half circles. At most the length.
- Height at the centre (H): From the base to the cut, on the tube's centre line.
- Cut angle (A): Angle between the top cut and the base, seen from the front (along the oval): low at the left end, rising to the right. 0 = square.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
