Tangent rectangle to pipe at an angle: trunk pattern
A rectangular duct with rounded corners meets a round trunk at an angle with one side flush with the trunk's side, as on a sloping tangential inlet. The trunk is developed flat with the exact hole the duct cuts in it.
A rectangular duct at an angle to a round trunk, one side flush with the trunk's side; the pattern is the trunk with its hole.
Sizes you enter
- Trunk diameter (Dt): Across the trunk, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Trunk height (H): Overall height of the trunk.
- Duct width (W): Across the duct, seen from above; its far side meets the trunk's mean surface.
- Duct height (Hr): The duct from its bottom to its top, square to its centre line.
- Corner radius (r): The duct's corners, seen end on (0: sharp).
- Duct height up the trunk (Hb): From the trunk's bottom to where the duct's centre line meets the trunk's axis.
- Angle (A): Between the duct's centre line and the trunk's below it (90: level).
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
