90° tapered segmented elbow (reducing lobster back bend)
A reducing elbow built from conical segments, so the duct gets smaller as it turns, as in cyclone inlets and fan outlets. Also called a tapered or reducing gored elbow.
Round duct turned 90° by conical segments, narrowing from the large end to the small end.
Sizes you enter
- Large end diameter (D1): Across the duct at the start of the bend, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Small end diameter (D2): Across the duct at the end of the bend, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Centre-line radius (R): From the bend centre to the duct centre line.
- Number of segments (n): All segments, the two half end segments included.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
