Cone to cone branch: trunk cone pattern with hole
A conical branch runs level into a conical trunk on its centre line, widening towards it, as on a reducing take-off from a hopper or hood. The trunk cone is developed flat with the exact hole for the branch.
A cone branch running level into a cone, on its centre line, opening towards it; the pattern is the trunk cone with its hole.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): Across the trunk cone's base, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Top diameter (d): Across the trunk cone's top, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Height (H): From the base to the top.
- Branch height (Hb): From the base to the branch's centre line.
- Branch end diameter (Db): Across the branch cone's small end, the end away from the trunk.
- Branch end distance (Ls): From the trunk's centre line to the branch cone's small end.
- Branch cone angle (A): The whole angle between the branch cone's sides, opening towards the trunk.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
