Cone to cone, upright branch: branch cone pattern
An upright conical branch stands on a conical trunk off its centre line, square to its base, as on a hopper with a tapered outlet. The branch cone is developed flat, from its small end down to the exact curve where it meets the trunk.
An upright cone branch set into a cone off its centre line, square to its base; the pattern is the branch cone.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): Across the trunk cone's base, on the surface it is drawn to.
- Top diameter (d): Across the trunk cone's top, on the surface it is drawn to.
- Height (H): From the base to the top.
- Branch position (X): From the trunk cone's centre line out to the branch's, seen from above.
- Branch end diameter (Db): Across the branch cone's small end, its top, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Branch end height (Ht): From the base up to the branch cone's small end.
- Branch cone angle (A): The whole angle between the branch cone's sides, opening downwards.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
