Cone to pipe branch at an angle: cone pattern
A conical branch meets a round trunk on its centre line at an angle, widening towards the trunk, as on a lateral reducing take-off. The cone is developed flat, from its small end to the exact curve where it meets the trunk.
A cone branch at an angle to a round trunk, on its centre line, opening towards it; the pattern is the cone branch.
Sizes you enter
- Trunk diameter (Dt): Across the trunk, where the cone meets it.
- Small end diameter (d): Across the cone's small end, the end away from the trunk, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Small end distance (Ls): Along the cone's centre line, from where it crosses the trunk's to the cone's small end.
- Cone angle (A): The whole angle between the cone's sides, opening towards the trunk.
- Branch angle (B): Between the trunk's centre line, downwards, and the cone's: 90° is level, less points the cone down.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
