Offset rectangle to ellipse transition
A rectangular base to a true ellipse top that is shifted along the length or the width of the base. Both ends stay parallel.
Rectangular base with rounded corners to a true ellipse top, parallel, with the top moved off centre.
Sizes you enter
- Base width (W): Shorter side of the base.
- Base length (L): Longer side of the base.
- Top length (l): Length of the ellipse (its long axis), along L.
- Top width (w): Width of the ellipse (its short axis).
- Height (H): Vertical distance from base to top.
- Top offset along the length (X): Moves the ellipse centre along L. 0 = centred.
- Top offset along the width (Y): Moves the ellipse centre along W. 0 = centred.
- Base corner radius (R): 0 = sharp corners.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
