Tapered helical flight flat pattern (conical screw flight)
A flight wound on a cone instead of a pipe, for tapered screws and conical feeders. Each turn is one sheet, developed by triangulation.
A flight wound on a cone, narrowing from the bottom to the top; one sheet a turn, laid out by triangles.
Sizes you enter
- Bottom diameter (D1): Outside diameter of the flight at the bottom (mean surface).
- Top diameter (D2): Outside diameter of the flight at the top.
- Flight width (W): From the outer edge in, square to the axis; the same all the way up.
- Pitch (P): Rise in one full turn.
- Overall height (H): Total rise of the flight; one sheet for each turn.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
