Terms of use
Unfoldo (unfoldo.com) is run by CADMD SOFTWARE LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”). By using Unfoldo you agree to these terms. Questions: support@unfoldo.com.
What Unfoldo does
Unfoldo works out flat patterns for sheet metal parts from the sizes you enter. Anyone can try the shapes and see a preview. Exact files (DXF, STEP, SVG) and exact tables need an account: free for the basic shapes listed on the plans page, and with a paid plan (Pro, Team or a 30-day pass) for the other shapes. The plans page says what each includes and costs.
Plans and payment
- Plans are sold through Link, Stripe’s reseller, which takes the payment, adds any sales tax or VAT that applies and sends the receipts and invoices. Its terms apply to the payment.
- Pro and Team renew each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time under Billing in your dashboard; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid, and is not refunded for the rest of it, except where the law where you live says otherwise. A 30-day pass does not renew.
- You can change your plan under Billing. A change to more (yearly instead of monthly, Team instead of Pro, more seats) starts at once, and the difference for the rest of the period is charged then. A change to less starts when the period already paid ends.
- A Team plan has a number of seats; its admins invite people and can add seats, which are charged for the rest of the period.
- The free trial of Pro (its length is on the plans page) is once per account, without a card; it ends by itself. We may give a longer or second trial.
- We may change prices; a change applies from your next renewal, and we tell you before.
Your account
- An account is for one person. Do not share it: it works on at most two devices at a time, and signing in on a third signs out the one used longest ago.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- We may suspend an account that is shared, resold, used to download for others at scale, or used to attack or overload the service.
Files you download
You may use the files you download in your own work and your customers’ work, including for parts you sell. You may not resell or publish the files as a collection, or use Unfoldo to build a competing service.
Check before you cut
Patterns depend on the sizes and settings you enter, your material and your shop’s methods. Shapes marked “In testing” are still being checked. Always check a pattern (for example with a sample or a test cut) before cutting production parts. Unfoldo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for material, time or parts lost because of a pattern, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing).
Changes and ending
We may change Unfoldo and these terms; we will update the date above and tell signed-in users about any change that matters. You can stop using Unfoldo and ask us to delete your account at any time.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
