Oblique cone flat pattern, by offset
An offset reducer: a cone with both ends level and the top's centre moved a given distance off the base's. Laid out in one part, seamed on the side the top leans to, or in two halves seamed on both sides. The press lines run along the cone's true straight lines, each its own length.
A cone with its top moved off the base's centre by a given distance, the ends level.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): The larger end, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Top diameter (d): The smaller end, on the same surface.
- Height (H): From the base to the top.
- Top offset (X): From the base's centre to the top's, seen from the front: toward the seam (left). Negative: away from it.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
