Rectangle to round transition, one angled side (trapezoid base)
The base is a trapezoid instead of a rectangle: the side opposite the seam is pulled in. Useful where the base must fit a tapered opening or frame. The round top can be offset in both directions.
The base is a trapezoid: one side is pulled in.
Sizes you enter
- Base length (L): Horizontal side of the base.
- Seam side length (S): The full-length side, where the seam is.
- Pull-in on the opposite side (P): How much shorter the opposite side is. Must be more than 0.
- Top diameter (D): Must be smaller than both base sides.
- Height (H): Vertical distance from base to top.
- Base corner radius (R): 0 = sharp corners.
- Top offset along the base length (X): Moves the top centre along L, + toward the seam side. 0 = centred.
- Top offset along the seam side (Y): Moves the top centre along S, + away from the pulled-in corner. 0 = centred.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
