Rectangle to round transition, two angled sides
A variant of the trapezoid base where one side is pulled in at the bottom corner and at the top corner by separate amounts, giving an irregular four-sided base. The round top can be offset.
The base is a trapezoid: one side is pulled in at both ends.
Sizes you enter
- Base length (L): Distance from the seam side to the opposite side.
- Seam side length (S): The full-length side, where the seam is.
- Pull-in at the bottom corner (P1): How far the opposite side's bottom corner is pulled in. Must be more than 0.
- Pull-in at the top corner (P2): How far the opposite side's top corner is pulled in. P1 + P2 must be less than S.
- Top diameter (D): Must be smaller than both base sides.
- Height (H): Vertical distance from base to top.
- Base corner radius (R): 0 = sharp corners.
- Top offset along the base length (X): Moves the top centre along L, + toward the seam side. 0 = centred.
- Top offset along the seam side (Y): Moves the top centre along S, + toward the top. 0 = centred.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
