Cylinder flat pattern, top cut by two planes
A round tube with its top cut by two planes that meet in a ridge above the centre line, like a pipe fitted under a pitched roof. Give the ridge height and the angle of each cut; the ridge's two points are marked as lines on the pattern.
A tube with its top cut by two planes meeting in a ridge over the centre line.
Sizes you enter
- Diameter (D): Across the tube, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Ridge height (H): From the base up to the ridge, where the two cuts meet.
- Left cut angle (A1): The left cut against a square end, seen from the front, falling from the ridge.
- Right cut angle (A2): The right cut against a square end, falling from the ridge.
- Seam angle (S): 180 = seam on the right side, 0 = on the left. Turns the seam round the part.
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
