Pipe to oblique cone, angled branch: cone pattern with hole
A round pipe leaves an eccentric cone at a set angle and can also be turned in plan. The cone is developed flat with the matching hole.
A round branch rising at an angle into an oblique cone (its top off the base's centre), turned to the side if wanted; the pattern is the cone with its hole.
Sizes you enter
- Base diameter (D): Across the cone's base, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Top diameter (d): Across the cone's top, on the surface chosen under Sheet.
- Height (H): From the base to the top.
- Top offset (X): The top's centre from the base's, seen from above (negative: the other way).
- Branch diameter (Db): Across the branch: the hole is cut to this size.
- Branch height (Hb): From the base to where the branch's centre line meets the cone's.
- Branch angle (A): The branch's centre line above the level (0 = level), in degrees.
- Plan angle (B): The branch turned from the line through the cone's centres, seen from above, in degrees (0 = straight out, away from the top's lean).
What you get
The exact flat pattern of the part, worked out for the sheet thickness measured on the inside, the mean or the outside, with numbered press lines, the part in 3D, its weight and cutting length, and a DXF for laser, plasma or waterjet cutting (STEP as well).
